Musmah is a passionate alternative artist based in New York, NY; originally from Nigeria. Growing up, he was influenced by his father's record collection which included music from Boney M., ABBA, Sade, Osita Osadebe, Janet Jackson, amongst many others. At the age of 11, he started writing his own lyrics being heavily inspired by Lil Wayne. By 14, he was already recording and releasing mixtapes in high school. In 2015, Musmah released his debut body of work, Mississauga, a 4-track EP. The following year, he put out the first single of his sophomore EP, Hotel: Hamdala, which was released in March 2017. The song, ‘Designer’ featured Afro-Pop star Mr. Eazi. August of the same year, Musmah opened for Davido in the North American leg of his 30 Billion World Tour. In 2019, Musmah continued touring North America with notable venues being SXSW, Felabration NYC & Burna Boy: African Giant Returns Tour. In 2021, Musmah released his third body of work, Hotel: Lafayette, and supported African artist, Omah Lay in the North American leg of the Purple Tour. In 2022, Musmah supported Fireboy DML in his Apollo Tour & Rema in his Raves & Roses Tour. Musmah is currently working on his debut LP.
